Salam.. Finally Harris is 4! He turned 4 yesterday btw.. =) No more 3 and a half, or he'll be 4 next 2 months or whatsoever.. Finally when someone asks me how old is Harris, I will answer -He is 4..He's all grown up and it's a fact that I cant deny anymore..My baby is 4~~~~~~
Did the best decision last Wednesday to celebrate his birthday at our own home.. Incomplete but it's our home no matter what.. Picked up the butterscotch cake from Ilyana and we proceeded the journey to the south on the very same day! Shah texted me every 15 minutes to know our whereabouts and boy he was so worried when he knows that we were both coming back home that night..Alhamdulillah we safely arrived at Johor's home at 12am and when we arrived, he already cooked fried rice for us.. Hehe.. Excuse the rush btw, we just need to hurry back and indulge ourselves by waking up on the same bed with papa on Harris' big day!
Anyways, bought the cake from Ilyana (who is my high school friend) because she offers a very good price for all of her cakes selection.. Measured from Harris' obsession with Gardenia's butterscotch bread we decided to choose that flavour for his birthday cake.. The cake was originally looks like this:
Well I wish that you could smell this picture! It's one of the best cake I have ever tasted! It was so rich in flavours and less sweet for our liking! Ilyana did caramelize the walnuts and they were crunchy and awesome and all that~.. I swear! =)
And then I decided to decorate the cake!
Tadaaaaaaaa
What do you think?
The sand looks so real right? I showed the cake to Harris and he was amused that he could eat the 'sand'.. He thought that it looks so real that he almost cried when I asked him to taste the sand..
The sand was once a pack of Famous Amos cookies..hehehee
Got the idea from Pinterest and I'm so glad that it turned out well... What I did was, crushed those choc chips cookies for the 'sand' effect..Hehe.. I guess it worked for Harris' point of view! When I said, eat the sand Harris! He took a spoon and attacked the 'sand' first.. *at least he can identify the sand!* He said, "I'm eating sand, mommy!" and Shah turned to be the worst paranoia papa ever since.. He was so busy observing whatever Harris puts in his mouth and refused to take Harris' photos! Grrrrrr... T__T
If you must know, we decided to celebrate his birthday outdoor because we want clearer pictures Shah planned to surprise him with a visit from the real excavator! But sadly it didn't happen.. Hehe.. We went to the garage instead that evening.. Hehee.. Shah will do anything for his kid- I know that! =)
Shah asked his staff Jay to blow all the balloons at the office and later he tied those balloons at the house's gate.. It's hard to blow those balloons when Harris is there watching the whole process you know? He will definitely ask to play with the balloons at any time... Hihi.. Anyways, thanks papa for the balloons and the quick visit to the big machines' garage that night as well.. I'm so blessed to see Harris' face when he climbs up the excavator!
Hey baby..Eh, hey big boy.. Happy Birthday sayang.. Mommy and papa really love you and though we might not have the big money to get you the real excavator (yet) but please bear in your mind that we will provide you with tones of happiness, love and yeah, kisses for as long as we both shall live! It's a promise! Mommy is currently adjusting our lives and trust me, we will live a much better lives after this.. Amin
Insyaallah..
NOTE: Just so you know, your papa bought you a LEGO set as your birthday present.. You gave him a 'meh' look so he took it away from you and sulked for the whole day.. Nice move buntat! Hehehehehe..
